The Freaks Combined Cheat Sheets

Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Tight Ends | Kickers | Team Defenses

Pre-season is here, and for the next few weeks your whole mission in life is to find an edge for your fantasy football draft. We give a lot of knowledge across this site, but these cheat sheets are the distilled essence of it all.

Hey, the freaks know that you shouldn't take someone's cheat sheet as the word of god. We know it's just an opinion, and that's why we give you five opinions from experienced and diverse viewpoints.

We rank on a straight performance scoring system, so you TD-only and TD-distance leaguers might want to take this with a grain of salt. For the rest, read on.

Smokin Joe's Individual Cheat Sheets

Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Tight Ends | Kickers | Team Defenses

Rank Player Name Comments
1 Antonio Gates

I still have Gates number one even though Brees is in New Orleans. Rivers completed 67%of his passes in college so he should be able to find his best receiver a few times each game.

2 Jeremy Shockey

If Shockey can stay healthy and play 16 games he is as good as anyone not named Gates.

3 Todd Heap

McNair has made a living throwing the ball to his tight ends. Heap could be in for a career year.

4 Tony Gonzalez

Gonzalez is on the downside of his career but his downside is still better then most of the other tight ends upside.

5 Randy McMichael

McMichael is the other receiver in Miami who should be a lot more productive with a big accurate quarterback like Culpepper throwing him the ball.

6 Alge Crumpler

Crumpler would be ranked up with Gates and Shockey if he had and an accurate quarterback. His is still a very good tight end and a must-start most weeks.

7 L.J. Smith

Now that TO is in Dallas Smith is likely to be one of McNabb's favorite and most reliable targets.

8 Jason Witten

The Cowboys had offensive line troubles last year so Witten was asked to stay in and block a lot more than the previous year. I am afraid the same thing could happen again this year. They need to give Bledsoe more time to find TO.

9 Chris Cooley

Cooley would be ranked higher except the Skins signed Christian Fauria in the off season. Cooley is still the number one tight end but Fauria has shown himself to be a reliable red zone target and he could steal some scores from Chris this year.

10 Heath Miller

Miller plays for run-first coach Bill Cowher but he still finished with 6 touchdowns in his rookie year.

11 Jerramy Stevens
12 Vernon Davis
13 Dallas Clark
14 Ben Troupe
15 Ben Watson
16 Kellen Winslow
17 Alex Smith
18 Jermaine Wiggins
19 Erron Kinney
20 Jeb Putzier
21 Zach Hilton
22 Stephen Alexander
23 Marcus Pollard
24 Bubba Franks
25 Courtney Anderson
26 Mike Sellers
27 Chris Baker
28 Marcedes Lewis
29 Daniel Graham
30 Desmond Clark
