CrunchTime
- Matt Hasselbeck
There are few defenses in the league that have played as well, as consistently as the Baltimore Ravens. Add to that the fact that they were ranked 8th against the pass going into Sunday's game, and it is likely that many fantasy owners found themselves searching for starting options other than Hasselbeck in week 12. What a mistake that turned out to be.
Hasselbeck put forward the kind of performance that most fantasy owners only dream of.
While the 333 yards passing was good, it was the 5 touchdowns that made his game amazing. Not only did he compile a 122.3 passer's rating and a Freak of the Week nod, he catapulted himself into second place on the season for fantasy production by a quarterback.

The
Sandman - Marcus Robinson
Do you remember me? That’s what Marcus Robinson has been saying since he was a fantasy stud back in 1999 with 84 receptions for 1,400 yards and 9 touchdowns for the Bears.
Since then, Robinson has had multiple injuries and after being cut by the Bears in the off-season he ended up in Baltimore. The Ravens took a chance and it paid off BIG this week.
With their playoff possibilities looking bleak, the Ravens turned to Anthony Wright at quarterback. Wright, a five-year backup from South Carolina, turned to his former college teammate and they produced a big win, with some help from the officials.
Anthony connected with Robinson 9 times for 131 yards and 4 touchdowns. Coming into the game, Robinson had total of 8 receptions on the season. I guess all he really needed was some Phi Beta brother love.

StingRay
- Jon Kitna
Kitna has been on a tear in recent weeks and he has led the Bengals to a first place tie in the AFC North division. In his last six games Kitna has thrown 13 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions.
Last week against the Chargers, Kitna threw four touchdown passes and no interceptions.
Jon has 19 touchdowns on the season which is a career best, and he has the city of Cincinnati believing
that the Bengals may be playoff bound.
I was against the Bengals selecting Carson Palmer because Kitna finished
strongly last season. It's too bad the Bengals didn't trade out of the number one spot
to get themselves an impact defensive player in this year's draft instead of messing up their cap for a quarterback they don't need. What happens if Kitna leads the Bengal to the playoffs? Are they going to start Palmer next year?
Anyway, Kitna is
a deserving of the Freak of the Week and he has been a solid fantasy player all season long.

Smokin'
Joe - Chad Johnson
Chad did not guarantee a victory this weekend but he sure played like he did.
He had 10 receptions for 107 yards and 3 first half touchdowns. The
Chargers made it close in the second half but Johnson's first half performance showed that you don't have to talk to play well. Just ask his cousin Keyshawn...well, maybe not.
Chad is now on pace for 95 catches, 1400 yards and 12 touchdowns and he is
my "Freak of the Week".
