Hindsight
- Peyton Manning
Peyton
is money. I don't care if you are talking from a fantasy football
perspective or simply as an NFL purist.
The
leader in fantasy football scoring this season put up another big game in
week 13, throwing for 278 yards and 4 touchdowns. I don't care what
your scoring system is, those are the kind of numbers that vaulted many
teams right into the playoffs.
Every
time the Colts needed him to bring them back into the game he answered the
call. With 3:32 left in the first half he started at his own 14 yard
line down 17-3. Peyton led the Colts on an 11 play drive that
culminated in an 8 yard pass to Marcus Pollard. In the third quarter
Indianapolis trailed 31-10, so Manning responds by driving the Colts to 3
straight scores, each finishing with a touchdown pass.
No
fantasy owner can ask for more than a 4 touchdown performance against a
superior passing defense. Peyton, time and time again you answered
the bell, you are a true Freak.

StingRay
- Chris Chambers
On Thanksgiving Day I was expecting to see a defensive struggle between the
Cowboys and the Dolphins. Instead I watched 61 points get put on the scoreboard.
The Dolphins offense exploded on Thanksgiving and the Cowboys'
defense had no idea what to do. It reminded me of the old Nintendo Techmo Bowl.
Do you remember that game? You had a two running plays and two passing plays
and you had to guess what your opponent was going to pick. Well, last Thursday the
Cowboys' defense would play run when it was a pass and play pass when it was
a run.
The hero of that game was Chris Chambers. He caught 5 balls for 96
yards and three touchdowns! That was the first three touchdown game of his
career. Chambers caught a 39 yard TD pass down the sideline, made an incredible 6 yard TD reception in the back of the end zone, and last but not
least he caught a 35 yard TD in which he made Dallas safety Roy Williams look foolish on the missed tackle. Chambers you
deserve all of the turkey and stuffing you want for that performance.

Smokin'
Joe - Priest Holmes
Priest Holmes' totals this Sunday were 35 touches for 186 yards and 2
touchdowns. That is a great day for any running back and it brought his
totals for the season to over 1700 yards and 17 touchdowns.
If
there is a better, more consistent back in the NFL I don't know who he is. The fact that it took one of us until week 13 to nominate him for "Freak of the Week" speaks volumes about what we have grown to expect from him on Sundays.
