Freak of the Week - Week 4

The NFLFreaks Salute the True NFL Freaks

The Sandman - Peyton Manning

So it's Sunday night and in one of my leagues I am playing against Peyton Manning with a 28 point lead. I  figure an average game by Peyton and I'll still win,  NOT!  Peyton went off with not 3, not 4, not 5 but 6 touchdowns.  Even More remarkably was the fact that he needed only twenty completions to get the six touchdowns.  That means that one out of every 3.3 passes was a touchdown.

This truly is a freakish accomplishment and for this week I give Peyton the key to the castle.

StingRay - Ahman Green

Ahman Green reminded me of another number 30 who ran for the Broncos a few years ago as he slashed and dashed his way through the Chicago Bears defense on Monday night to the tune of 176 yards and two touchdowns.

Green has been just short of spectacular this season. He is 2nd in the league in rushing and he is running harder then I've ever seen him run before. Keep up the good work Ahman and you will be Freak of the Week a few more times this year.

Smokin' Joe - Randy Moss

In the battle of "who's the best wide receiver", Moss won the battle hands-down, or should I say put your hands up to catch another touchdown.

Randy showed why he's the most dangerous receiver in the game with his 8 catch, 172 yard and 3 touchdown performance.  Moss had another bomb touchdown called back for offensive interference.

Randy made it look all too easy as he just out-jumped the 49ers secondary for all 3 of his touchdowns.  Moss has the Vikings off and running this year to a 4-0 start.  Randy dedicated himself to football this off-season and it shows.

Randy made Gus Frerrotte look like Joe Montana,  which makes Moss my Freak of the Week.
