Freak of the Week - Week 7

The NFLFreaks Salute the True NFL Freaks

The Sandman - Terry Glenn

So I'm looking at my lineups for week 7 and I noticed that Dallas is playing Detroit. I figured this was a good time to start Antonio Bryant in one league and Joey Galloway in another. A good move until Quincy Carter decided that he would throw the ball to Terry Glenn in the red zone.

Who can blame him, Glenn was wide open most of the day. Terry finished with 6 receptions for 75 yards and 3 touchdowns. The 3 touchdowns equal his total for the last two seasons. I have to admit that his first touchdown in the back of the end zone was a thing of beauty since he somehow managed to keep both feet in when he only had about the width of a penny to play with.

How did my dynamic duo do? 4 receptions for 57 yards and all of that came from Mr. Bryant.  Being a die-hard Steelers fan, it is hard for me to turn over the key to the castle to a Cowboy but this week I must.

StingRay - Steve Smith

Steve Smith is my Freak of the Week. Smith had 10 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown last Sunday. Steve has had back to back 100–yard games after not registering a 100-yard game the first four games of the season.

Smith is now clearly the number one receiver in Carolina. He leads the team in receptions, yardage, and touchdowns. Keep up the good work Steve.

Smokin' Joe - Aaron Brooks

Aaron Brooks has been an utter disappointment so far this season. I hope you Brooks owners out there trusted the fact that the Falcons really are that bad and you had Brooks in your lineup.

Aaron crossed the 300 yard mark for the first time this season (352) and topped it off with three touchdowns. I don't know how this will affect the rest of his season I just know that last Sunday he was a true Freak.
