StingRay - Daunte
Culpepper
Daunte Culpepper looked unstoppable
this pre-season and that's only one of the reasons why he was the Freaks
number one rated fantasy quarterback entering the season.
In week one Culpepper had to face off
against a Dallas defense that was ranked number one in the league last
season. The result was a 35-17 to victory for the Vikings. Culpepper had
a career-high five touchdown passes and was 17/23 for 242 yards and no
interceptions.
It's only one game but I believe
Culpepper is in for an MVP season and if he's your fantasy quarterback
he may just carry you to a championship!

CrunchTime - Curtis
Martin
Last year Martin continued to put up
decent yardage but his lack of goal-line carries (lost to Lamont Jordan)
made him a risky fantasy player. This year it was assumed that he would
lose even more carries, yardage and TDs to old age and Jordan.
Apparently he decided to prove everyone wrong. His 196 rushing yards to
go along with his 7 receiving yards, 1 receiving and 1 rushing touchdown
gave him one of the top fantasy performances we can expect from him this
season.
Not only was his scoring impressive but he hit holes with power, strode
through attempting tacklers and looked like the Martin of old.
Welcome back Curtis.

Smokin' Joe -
Donovan McNabb
Donovan McNabb had the best day of any
fantasy quarterback this weekend. He had 330 yards passing and 4
touchdowns. It looks like he and Terrell Owens (three touchdowns) are
going to get along just fine.
Donovan won a few fantasy games all by
himself this weekend. I know because I took a loss because of his
Freak-like performance.

The Dawg - Jeff
Garcia
Was he a 300 yard passer this week?
No. Did he throw for three TD's? No. But once again Jeff Garcia
demonstrated that he is one of the biggest competitors there is in the
NFL today. His determination and effort on the field is infectious to
those around him.
Here is a team that now has a leader
and one that is willing to lead by example. Incredible stat week? No.
Huge inspiration and leadership to the Cleveland Browns? You bet,
and in a division that they could win going 9-7.
Mr. Garcia you are The Dawg's Freak

The Sandman -
Quentin Griffin
So far so good for my prediction that
Griffin will be the next 1,000 yard back for Denver. He made all of the
Broncos fans say "Clinton who?" when he had 23 carries for 156 yards and
three touchdowns, including a one-yard touchdown catch.
Griffin showed the speed and discipline
that head coach Mike Shanahan is looking for in a back, and more
importantly he went a very long way in proving the Shanahan was correct
in trading Clinton Portis to Washington for Champ Bailey.
Griffin, 5-7- 198 pounds, needs to show
that he can take the pounding of an entire NFL season but for one week
he was definitely a freak.
