Freak
of the Week - Week 16

StingRay -
Shaun Alexander
Shaun Alexander came through for me big
time this week as he led me to a championship. Alexander carried the
ball 30 times for 154 yards and scored three touchdowns. Shaun has been
phenomenal this season with a career high 1,616 yards rushing and 19
touchdowns on the year.
Shaun was a good draft pick this season
because he was in a contract year and after this season he will get
paid! Thank you Shaun for coming through for me this week and
having a great fantasy season..

Smokin' Joe - Tony
Gonzalez
Tony Gonzalez showed the fantasy world
he is still the best tight end in the game. Tony was probably the
first tight end drafted in your league. He rewarded owners with his best
game of the year, the week most leagues have their Super Bowl. That is
how it's supposed to be, great players having great games when it
matters most. Mr. Gonzalez you are a true Freak..

Smokin' Joe - Kevin
Jones
For half a season Jones was a bust,
especially when you consider all of the hype he got in training camp.
For the last six weeks however he has performed like a top-ten fantasy
back. This past week he had 25 carries for 123 yards and a touchdown
against the Bears but this nomination is more about a six-week period in
which Jones has averaged over 115 yards rushing per game.
It also points out the importance of keeping up with the player news.
Back on 10/22, coach Steve Mariucci stated the following “he looked
quick, and he’s practicing. He’s not limited. He should get more playing
time for this week.” Those words clued everyone into the fact that Jones
was going to see more carries so trying to make a trade for him was the
move to make. The owners who did were rewarded.
Jones finished the year strong and will end up on everyone’s sleeper
list, including ours, next year but for this week he is my Freak of the
Week.
This is the end of the fantasy season for most leagues so I would like
to take a minute to thank all of the readers. I hope the information we
provided helped you make good decisions throughout the year. If it
weren’t for you, we would have no one to write for. This was our most
successful year with over 5,000,000 hits in September, October, November
and December. We have big plans for next year so we might not be
your little secret much longer. Be sure to come back during the
off-season since we all know that the fantasy football season never ends.
