StingRay - Daunte
Culpepper
Daunte Culpepper set an NFL record on
Sunday night by throwing five touchdown passes for the third time this
season and the second time in the last two weeks. Daunte also set
a career high in passing yards with 425 Sunday night.
Culpepper is the number one quarterback
in fantasy football and if you don't believe me, ask anyone who has him
or anyone who has faced him the last two weeks. Daunte Culpepper has 20
touchdowns in five games. If he continues at this pace he will have 60
touchdowns. I'm sure the pace will slow down but he does have a
legitimate chance to break Dan Marino's record of 48 touchdown passes in
a season as long as Randy Moss stays healthy.

Smokin' Joe -
Reuben Droughns
Droughns is proving that anyone can run
for 1,000 yards behind the Denver offensive line. Terrell Davis used to
add to that saying "But can you run for 2,000 yards?". After two
starts Droughns is on pace for 2,200 yards in only 12 games. That is, if
he can keep up his 184 yards per game average.
I don't know how long he can keep up
this pace but I do know that he has two starts and two Freak of the Week
nominations. Wait, I know something else. Droughns must be in your
lineup this week against the Bengals.

The Sandman - Jeff
Garcia
Let’s face the facts, Garcia has been a
bust in 2004 but this week he finally gave his owners a reason to keep
him on their roster.
Garcia was 16-of-23 for 310 yards and 4
touchdowns. Now that’s efficient. The 4 touchdowns matched his
season total before this week’s contest. Garcia had touchdown passes of
99, 10, 5 and 59 yards. The 99 touchdown pass tied a record for the
longest pass in NFL history.
For having a great week and showing that he still can be productive on a
fantasy team, Jeff Garcia is the king of the sand castle this week.
