StingRay - Emmitt
Smith
Emmitt Smith had his second 100–yard
game of the season and set the NFL record for most career 100-yard
rushing games. Emmitt had 106 yards rushing and a touchdown against the
Seahawks. He has six touchdowns on the year (one throwing) and is
averaging an impressive 4.2 yards per carry.
Smith has not had more then 5
touchdowns in a season since 2000 when he had 9. The old man that
everyone thought was done has more fantasy points then Marshall Faulk,
Corey Dillon, Fred Taylor, Deuce McAllister, Kevan Barlow, Domanick
Davis and Rudi Johnson just to name a few. Emmitt has already had
his bye week too, which makes his fantasy points even more impressive.
Emmitt you are a true "Freak" for still
putting up great numbers in season number 15.

Smokin' Joe -
Ahman Green
Ahman finally busted out with a big
game just when his owners were starting to question whether they should
have drafted Green so early. Green has had plenty of good games before,
but 15 carries for 163 yards and two touchdowns ranks among the best.
Averaging 11 yards per carry against the Cowboys is unbelievable.
Ahman has been dealing with an Achilles
injury that limited him to 80 yards last week against the Lions defense
so this was completely unexpected. If Ahman is healthy, the Packers look
like they could still be a playoff team.

CrunchTime -
Baltimore Defense
First off… I know Buffalo isn’t any
good. HOWEVER, the Baltimore defense is just plain nasty. This week they
had an answer for everything the Bills seemed to throw at them. Every
time they started to put something together and threaten the Ravens,
they were slammed back into place.
While many are tired of Sanders, I have to say it was funny to see him
back in the end zone dancing around. He’s already got as many touchdowns
as he did in 6 of his last seasons prior to retirement and the fact that
he’s 37 is pretty amazing. That said, the reason he’s able to contribute
like this is the pressure and intensity his defense applies around him.
They had 4 interceptions on the day and had a fumble recovery on top of
that. I don’t care who you’re playing, that’s just impressive.
Now your fantasy scoring may vary from
ours but I have the Ravens as the number 1 fantasy DE/ST by almost 20
points.

The Sandman -
Kansas City Running Backs
Wow!!! That is all I can say about what
the Kansas City running backs, Priest Holmes and Derrick Blaylock, did on
Sunday. They combined for 229 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns. This
is impressive by itself but when you take into account that they did it
against the league's number one rushing defense it is really amazing.
Last week we took some “Ask the Freaks” questions about whether or not
Priest Holmes should be started. I responded with one common theme, you
draft the stud – you play the stud, no matter the match-up. This is an
example of when you can over coach your team and maybe cost yourself a
win. The credit really has to go to the offensive line but there's
no points for offensive line play in fantasy football.
Maybe you can plug anyone into the backfield in Kansas City and they can
still produce great numbers, but what happened this week could only be
described as remarkable
