Freak of the Week - Week 8

The NFLFreaks Salute the True NFL Freaks

StingRay - Tiki Barber

Tiki Barber is the number two back in fantasy football right now, and on Sunday he posted his 5th 100-yard rushing game and ran in two touchdowns.

Barber now has seven touchdowns on the season and leads the league in total yards from scrimmage with 1,100. Last season Barber couldn’t stop fumbling and he was only able to find the end zone three times all year.

Tiki, you have been the best surprise for fantasy owners everywhere.  Keep up the good work!

The Sandman - Indianapolis vs. Kansas City Game

The fantasy game of the year occurred this past week when the Indianapolis Colts traveled to Kansas City. The two teams combined for almost 1,100 yards, 3rd most in NFL history, and to tell you the truth it was predictable. Last year these two teams played a playoff game that included no punts so why would we expect anything less this year?

This week we had some outstanding performances from Peyton Manning (25-of-44 for 472 yards and 5 touchdowns), Trent Green (27-of-34 for 389 yards and 4 touchdowns), Priest Holmes (32 carries for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns), Marvin Harrison (6 receptions for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns), Reggie Wayne (6 receptions for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns) and Tony Gonzalez (8 receptions for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns). That is a lot of stud performances in one game.

If you own any of these players, you were ecstatic.  If you played against any of these players then you probably added one to the loss column. Either way, this was a great fantasy game and the first game ever to be a  “Freak of the Week”.
