Freak of the Week - Week 10

The NFLFreaks Salute the True NFL Freaks

Smokin' Joe - Steve McNair

You know McNair had this game circled on the calendar as soon as he signed with the Ravens this off-season.  After spending his first 11 seasons with the Titans he faced them for the first time in his career. He responded with a great game putting up a Freakish 373 yards and 3 touchdowns.

He was not perfect but he did what was necessary to get the win.  I am sure that any fantasy owners who took a chance on starting McNair were rewarded with a win as well!

CrunchTime - Chad Johnson

While the Bengals were unable to pull out a win this week against the Chargers, I'm guessing all of the Chad Johnson owners had no such troubles. After having his production take a back seat to Houshmandzadeh all season, Chad broke out with a vengeance. He pulled in a shocking 11 catches for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns.

With mind boggling numbers like that I have to laugh at those who were questioning his ability. Earlier this week I was listening to Keyshawn Johnson explain that defenses had figured out how to defend him. If anyone wants to know how NOT to defend him, I would get the game tape from this showdown.

Chad, welcome back to fantasy prominence and the Freak of the Week ranks.

The Sandman - LaDanaian Tomlinson

For five years I have owned Tomlinson and this preseason I decided that I was going to offer him to every owner in our league.  In the long run one owner gave me what I was looking for so L.T. was gone for Clinton Portis and Chad Johnson.

Well, someone must have let L.T. know because this week he had a monster game, 22 carries for 104 and four touchdowns.  Add in the 6 receptions for 54 yards and he put up 40 points against me. While the pain of this loss hurts, I have to give L.T. my Freak of the Week.
