Freak of

Hindsight -
Lee Evans
Are you serious?
Lee Evans? Isn't he the 31st ranked receiver
in fantasy football? Not any more. In
fact, Evans' output in week 11 was good enough to
vault him to 14th overall in the fantasy standings.
Evans went off so
seriously right out of the gate that I had claimed
him for my Freak of the Week at the end of the first
quarter. At that point he had 205 yards
receiving and a pair of touchdowns. Now that
is a good 15 minutes worth of work.
Evans finished with 11
catches for 265 yards, including a pair of 83 yard
touchdown catches. (Useless Trivia - His number is
83.)
I don't need to say
much more than that. That boy was a Freak!

StingRay -
Travis Henry
On Sunday Travis Henry
carried the ball 18 times for 143 yards and a
touchdown against the Eagles in a Titans victory.
The week before against the Baltimore Ravens Henry
rushed for 107 yards and a score. In fact,
Henry has rushed for over 100-yards in 4 of his last
six games.
Travis Henry is one
running back who is flying under the fantasy radar
and quietly having a very productive season for a
back that no one wanted on draft day.

The Sandman
-
Drew Brees
A lot of fantasy owners stayed away from
Brees on draft day since he was coming back from a shoulder injury and
the Saints offense was terrible in 2005. He had such a black mark
on him that in many leagues he wasn’t drafted at all.
Brees has proven that his shoulder is fine
and is currently ranked as the third best quarterback in fantasy
football. This week he had a monster game, 37-of-52 for 510 yards
and 3 touchdowns. The 510 yards is an unthinkable number and it
makes four straight games that Brees has thrown for at least 300 yards.
Brees has had to prove the critics wrong
his entire career and with games like this, he will be drafted in every
league next year.
