CrunchTime - Baltimore Ravens Defense


It’s always nice when your defense gives you a big lift down the stretch, but rarely can you expect them to simply take over a game for you. This week the Ravens put an all time beating on the Pittsburgh offense.  On all fronts their attack was relentless.

Let’s start with the obvious, they shut them out for the scoring bonus and held them under 175 yards of total offense.  Add to that the ridiculous 9 sacks, the interception, and then top it all off with a 57 yard fumble recovery return for a touchdown.

That’s one for the record books and a performance that won many a fantasy match up this week.

 

The Sandman - Tony Romo

About two weeks before the quarterback change in Dallas I recommended in the waiver wire report that Drew Bledsoe owners should grab Romo since a change was inevitable. 

I watched Romo during the preseason and liked everything I saw but by no means did I see him throwing for 306 yards and 5 touchdowns.  All of the talk about Romo being as good as Troy Aikman is premature but he has brought life to a team that looked like they were dead for most of the first half of the season.
