Freak of the Week - Week 13

The NFLFreaks Salute the True NFL Freaks

Hindsight - Trent Green

For all of you Freaks out there that I told to avoid starting Green until he showed some ability to throw a touchdown pass, I apologize, and humbly say that you don't have to wait anymore.

After two straight starts without a score, Trent blew the doors off by throwing four touchdowns against the Browns on Sunday. He was efficient (24 for 32) and effective chewing up the yards as well (297 total).

All things come at a price though, as owners of Larry Johnson can attest, as Green monopolized the scoring. (Now is the time where all Tony Gonzalez owners can say "Bite me, Larry!")

Congratulations Trent, we were all pulling for you after that B.S. hit you took and the injury you suffered through for most of the season.  Glad to have you back.

StingRay - Tony Gonzalez

Tony Gonzalez was supposed to be slipping as one of the elite tight ends in fantasy but after Sunday I would have to say he’s still one of the best in the league.  Gonzalez caught 9 passes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He is currently one point behind Gates as the best tight end in fantasy football and Gonzalez missed a game due to injury.

The Sandman - Reggie Bush

I have not been a huge Bush fan this year as he has had problems scoring touchdowns but this week he got in the end zone big time with three rushing and one receiving. Combine this with the 168 total yards (131 receiving) and it makes for a huge fantasy week.

What I liked is that he scored two rushing touchdowns from the one-yard line, territory usually reserved for Deuce McAllister.
