I want to throw a little love out to Brian Westbrook who in a must win game for the Eagles posted 137 total yards and 2 touchdowns. If it wasn’t for Andy Reid’s decision to give Corell Buckhalter his first touchdown of the season Westbrook would have had 3 scores.

Westbrook over the years has constantly been on and off the injury report but this season he has only missed one game and his stellar play has the Eagles heading toward the playoffs even without Donovan McNabb.

 

CrunchTime - Tennessee Defense

While I usually like to focus on players that helped the greatest number of owners out, I can’t ignore the outing that the Titans’ defense had this week against the Jaguars. 

First of all, they won the game. That’s impressive enough until you realize that the defense was responsible for all three touchdowns that helped them outscore Jacksonville’s 17 points. That’s three defensive touchdowns from a team that had only 4 in the previous 13 games this season.

It’s nice enough when your quarterback can put up three, but when a defense does it in the playoffs they definitely have to be considered Freakish.
