CrunchTime - Peyton Manning

After last week it was validated that Peyton is the better Manning. This week, we were reminded that he still is the same guy who broke Marino's record in 2004. The Texans fell prey to 26 passes for 400 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. That's not a typo, he threw for 400 yards.

What makes that most impressive is the fact that he completed passes to 9 receivers, and the longest pass play was only 37 yards, so his stats aren't padded by freakish efforts by his receivers (see Chad Pennington).

We all know he's the man. This week he just reminded us.

The Sandman - Rex Grossman

In most fantasy leagues Rex Grossman is still on the waiver wire. Taking a look at ESPN, he is only owned by 6.1 percent of their leagues. After so much controversy in the preseason Grossman has showed why the coaching staff had faith in him

Against the Packers in week one he was effective, 264 yards and a touchdown. This past week, he was outstanding (20-of-27 for 289 yards and 4 touchdowns). There are a lot of quarterbacks who were drafted that aren't putting up these kinds of numbers.
