Freak of the Week - Week 9

The NFLFreaks Salute the True NFL Freaks

StingRay - Tony Romo

The Dallas Cowboys lost a heartbreaker to the Washington Redskins but it wasn’t any fault of the new Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Romo was brilliant completing 24 of 36 passes for 284 yards and 2 touchdowns.  He threw a beautiful touch pass to Terry Glenn and drilled a nice slant pattern to Terrell Owens. Romo threw a magnificent deep ball to Terrell Owens who dropped what should have been a 72–yard touchdown. Romo shook it off and made a clutch throw in the closing minutes to Jason Witten to set up the game winning filed goal.

If you are a Cowboys fan you have to be upset with the loss but Romo is looking like he could be a superstar.  Drew Bledsoe should just retire now because that QB job belongs to Romo.  Please pick him up if Romo is still available in your league!

The Sandman - Javon Walker

As an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan their performance this past week hurt, but as a fantasy football expert Walker’s performance was amazing.

I don’t know if any wide receiver has ever led their team in rushing and receiving but this is exactly what Walker did on Sunday.  Walker had one carry for 72 yards and six receptions for 134 yards. Add in the three touchdowns and he had a huge game.

Many owners were afraid to draft Walker since he was coming back from knee surgery but those who took a chance were rewarded with this week’s performance.
