Freak of the Week - Week 13

The NFLFreaks Salute the True NFL Freaks

StingRay - Tony Romo

Tony Romo in his showdown with his idol Brett Favre delivered for fantasy owners, throwing for 309 yards and 4 touchdowns. He should have had five but Terrell Owens dropped a touchdown and threw it into the hands of a DB for an interception.

Romo has 33 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions on the season. He has already set the Cowboys' record for touchdown passes and he also has ran in 2 touchdowns this season which brings his total to 35 with 4 games left. If it weren't for the year Brady is having Romo should be a strong candidate for MVP!

CrunchTime - LaDainian Tomlinson

He's been a solid producer all season and finds himself atop the fantasy running back ranks. Given how high he's set the bar in past years he's almost flown under the radar this season. That is tough to say for the man most often drafted first last summer.

This week he saved some serious firepower for his owners' stretch runs.  In these all important late games it's nice to have your stud really step up to the plate with 197 all purpose yards and 2 touchdowns. It definitely sealed the bye for me and many others this week. That is definitely worth a Freak of the Week nod.

The Sandman - Adrian Peterson

The kid is back and this week he returned with style, 15 carries for 116 yards and two touchdowns.  Peterson was injury prone in college but if he can avoid injuries he could be the next great back in the NFL.  He will be offensive rookie of the year but he also has my vote for MVP.  I know that Tom Brady is having an excellent year but the Vikings would be the Jets without Peterson. Instead, they are making a run at the playoffs.
