StingRay - Marion Barber I know this wasn’t a huge performance like Brian Westbrook or Kevin Curtis, but as the supposedly number two back in Dallas Marion Barber has been better then expected in 2007. Barber had scored 3 touchdowns this season so far including two last week vs. the Dolphins. Going into Sunday night’s game vs. the Bears his expectations had to be lowered as the Bears defense held LaDainain Tomlinson and Larry Johnson to a total of 72 yards rushing. How does Barber respond? He went into Soldiers Field and carried the ball 15 times for 102 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 1 pass for 10 yards and a score. On that touchdown he ran right over Adam Archuleta. Freaky.

Smokin' Joe - Kevin Curtis It was an easy week to find my Freak. The highlights just kept coming. A 68 yard touchdown, a 12 yard touchdown and a 43 yard score provided the bulk of the numbers but Curtis did not stop with those three catches. He finished with 11 catches for 221 yards and 3 touchdowns. Unbelievable! I hope you fellow Curtis owners had him in your lineup. I didn’t.

CrunchTime - Brian Westbrook Before the first quarter had ended Westbrook had already posted a monster outing with solid rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. That alone would have been enough to make him a Freak of the Week in my book, simply because it takes some of the pressure off of owners to have that kind of production before 2:00 PM ever rolls around. He didn't stop there though. En route to some serious fantasy dominance Westbrook made defenders look silly. He juked them, trucked them, and ran past them, piling up 110 rushing yards, 111 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns. It's also worth pointing out that he did all this on only 19 touches. That's over 11 yards per touch and well worth Freak of the Week honors.
