StingRay -
Dwayne Bowe
The rookie from LSU
had caught touchdowns in each of his last two games
prior to Sunday's tilt against the San Diego
Chargers. Bowe was at it again when he caught
a 51-yard touchdown pass to give the Chiefs the lead
early in the 4th quarter. Bowe finished the
game with 8 receptions for 164 yards and a
touchdown. If this rookie is still available
in your league then I suggest you pick him up.

Smokin' Joe
-
Tony Romo
Tony Romo was expected to have a good game
against the St Louis Rams and he did. He threw for 339 yards
yesterday and accounted for 4 touchdowns (3 Passing, 1 rushing). This
brings his season totals to 1199 yards passing and 13 total touchdowns.
He is showing he was no fluke last year and has become a must start
every week. Oh, and one more thing, he is a free agent at the end
of the year. Isn’t it funny how it always seems to work out that
way? Contract year = big year.

CrunchTime
- Justin Fargas
For those of you that watched the battle
for "Least Effective Rushing Defense" on Sunday, you saw some serious
fantasy production. Jordan got off to a hot start with 74 yards on 15
carries, but he was really just tenderizing the defense for the
onslaught that Fargas would unleash in the second half.
Fargas had seen some touches early in the
game, but didn't get the spotlight until Jordan went down with a knee
injury. It was then that he had one of the most impressive second
half running outbursts I've seen, ending up with 22 carries for 179
yards. Any time someone can average over 8 yards per carry, and
pile up the most yardage for the week in part time duty, they definitely
deserve some recognition for their freakish performance.

The Sandman
- Daunte Culpepper
No matter what any player says, they get
great joy in sticking it to their former team and this week Culpepper
had that chance as the Raiders traveled to Miami to face the Dolphins.
The Dolphins cut Culpepper during the
off-season, claiming that they had no faith in his rebuilt knee. You
can’t blame the Dolphins, they took a chance on Culpepper and basically
they got nothing out of him.
This week Culpepper had a chance to get
his revenge and he got in a big way. Ironically it wasn’t with his
right hand (5-of-12 for 75 yards and two touchdowns) but with his feet
(7 carries for 28 yards and three touchdowns). That makes for a total of
five touchdowns.
Not bad for a guy with a bad knee.
