Everybody Knows Your Name
I
don't care who you are; Player, Coach, Broadcaster, Writer, you name it.
You sucked, and we're going to tell you why.
Another staff
favorite, our Hall of Shame picks highlight our individual selections for the
worst sports-related performers of the week.

StingRay - Steve
McNair
Steve McNair finally has a legitimate
running back behind him so you would think that he would be having a
good season. Wrong. In a huge division game at home McNair went
16/26 for 143 yards and an interception.
The Titans have lost two big games in a
row at home and in both games “Air” McNair was unable to find the end
zone. I know the Jaguars defense is tough but what’s his excuse against
the Colts in week 2? Brett Favre and Brady had no problems against
the Colts secondary.
I think McNair is just playing poorly
and that the Titans really miss Justin McCareins. If McNair is your
starting quarterback you should start shopping him around your league
because he’s not getting it done. Welcome to the Hall for the second
time this season Steve.

CrunchTime -
Domanick Davis
Going into the weekend two things were
apparent: 1) Davis was a week 1 and 2 stud with 165 yards rushing, 165
receiving yards and two touchdowns; 2) Kansas City cannot stop the run.
These two observations seemed to suggest that Davis should go nuts this
past weekend and make a serious run at the top fantasy rushing spot.
What happened instead? Davis carried 10 times for an obscenely low 12
yards! 1.2 yards per carry? I’m pretty sure most of us watching
the game on Sunday could have managed that. And where was his nice
receiving yardage to pad his stats? 1 reception for 15 yards doesn’t do
a whole lot to boost his scoring.
I realize that he did get injured and
might have been able to turn things around somewhat, but the time he
spent on the field was bad enough to catch my eye. Everyone was ready to
welcome Domanick to the ranks of the elite fantasy backs but for being
unable to produce against the Chiefs, I welcome him to The Hall.

Smokin' Joe - Koren
Robinson
The Seahawks dominated the 49ers from
start to finish yesterday so they did not have to throw the ball very
much. That doesn't excuse another terrible performance by Robinson. He
posted one catch for 12 yards. One catch? Darrell Jackson had nine,
Bobbie Engram and Shawn Alexander a four a piece and even Jeremy Stevens
managed to catch three.
It is becoming clear to me that
Robinson will never live up to the expectations everyone has for him.
Year after year Robinson says this is the year. Well, this year he is
averaging 2.6 catches and 37 yards per game. After three games he
is on pace for 42 catches and 602 yards. Those numbers are worthy of
selection into our Hall of Shame.

The Sandman -
Quentin Griffin
The Dawg said there would be days like
this when I decided to draft a rookie running back as one of my
starters. After a great week 1 against the Chiefs, Griffin fell down a
little last week and finally hit the rocks this week.
He finished Sunday’s game with 12 carries for 7 yards. That is an
average of 0.60 yards per carry. Garrison Hearst (3 carries for 13
yards) and Reuben Droughns (2 carries for 10 yards) had better days than
Griffin.
I stated in my pre-season predictions that he will be the next 1,000
yard back in Denver and I still believe that, but 12 of those yards are
going through the Hall-of-Shame.
