Hall of
Shame - Week 1
Everybody Knows Your Name
|
I don't care who you are; Player, Coach,
Broadcaster, Writer, you name it. You sucked, and we're going to tell you
why.
Another staff
favorite, our Hall of Shame picks highlight our individual selections for the
worst sports-related performers of the week.

StingRay - Steven
Jackson
Jackson was the clear cut number two back
in fantasy in just about every draft and many who drafted him were
hoping he could challenge LT as the top back in fantasy. After the week
one loss to the Panthers you have to be worried.
Steven Jackson had 18 carries for 58 yards
and he fumbled twice. To make matters worse All Pro Left Tackle Orlando
Pace is lost for the season and that’s going to be trouble for Jackson
and the Rams. If you could trade him I would do it now while his stock
is still high.

Smokin' Joe -
Drew Brees
Drew Brees had a tremendous season in 2006
and he was looking to build on that in 2007. Brees owners everywhere
were expecting a shootout on opening night against the Colts. The only
problem was that Manning was the only quarterback who brought a gun.
Brees finished with 196 yards and 2
interceptions and NO TOUCHDOWNS!!! There will be better days ahead for
Brees and his owners but this week his days will be spent in the Hall of
Shame.

The Sandman -
New Orleans Saints Offense
One of the big questions coming into the
season was how well the Saints will play this year. Last year they rode
an emotional wave to the playoffs but many wondered if they were really
that good. After one week we have to say maybe not, but from a fantasy
perspective their performance offensively was horrible.
Drew Brees went 28-of-41 for 192 yards, no
touchdowns and two interceptions. Deuce McAllister finished with 10
rushes for 38 yards and the wonder boy (Reggie Bush) had 12 rushes for
only 38 yards. Finally the rookie sensation Marques Colston posted
6 receptions for 47 yards.
I know someone who owns three of the four
so you can guess what happened to him this week.
