Hall of Shame - Week 2

Everybody Knows Your Name

I don't care who you are; Player, Coach, Broadcaster, Writer, you name it.  You sucked, and we're going to tell you why.

Another staff favorite, our Hall of Shame picks highlight our individual selections for the worst sports-related performers of the week.

StingRay - Lee Evans

I know Lee has had some tough matchups facing the Broncos and the Steelers but he was supposed to be a solid fantasy receiver and after 2 weeks he has a total of 4 catches for 22 yards. In a blow out loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers all Lee Evans could do was catch 2 passes for 17 yards.  If you think he is struggling because of the matchups then what do you do with him next week when he faces the Patriots?

Smokin' Joe - LaDainaian Tomlinson

The first pick in your draft, the best player in fantasy football and a must start player every week has had two miserable games. 18 carries for 43 yards against the Patriots and 17 carries for 25 yards against the Bears.  LT is averaging 1.9 yards per carry in 2007. Shame! Shame! Shame!

CrunchTime- LaDainaian Tomlinson

This year it was supposed to be clear who the number 1 fantasy player in the league was, but after two weeks Tomlinson has been a huge disappointment. While he was able to salvage some production in week one on a trick play, there was no saving his week 2 showing. On 18 carries he was only able to muster 43 yards, which means he's getting less than 2.4 yards per carry! That's the kind of production that would be disappointing for my third back, let alone a number 1 pick overall.

I don't know whether it's the coaching or back-to-back tough defensive opponents, but I'm not sure I care. Top tier performers are supposed to be there for you week in, week out. I'm not suggesting he won't turn it around, but at this point in the season he's definitely earned a spot in the Hall of Shame.

The Sandman - Lee Evans

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.  Well that’s my story with Lee Evans. Last year I owned him and vowed never to draft him again.  So of course I drafted him again and now I remember why I got so frustrated.

So far in two games he has only four receptions (two receptions in each game). This week he didn’t have a catch until the second half and finished with only 17 yards. This is the same pattern as last year so I am hoping that he will turn it around but so far Evans has been a huge disappointment.
