Hall of
Shame - Week 4
Everybody Knows Your Name
|
I don't care who you are; Player, Coach,
Broadcaster, Writer, you name it. You sucked, and we're going to tell you
why.
Another staff
favorite, our Hall of Shame picks highlight our individual selections for the
worst sports-related performers of the week.

StingRay -
Philadelphia Eagles Offense
What I witnessed from the Eagles offense
on Monday night was the worst display I have ever seen by an Andy Reid
coached team.
McNabb who was brilliant a week ago could
do nothing against one of the worst defenses in the league. McNabb
completed 15 out of 31 passes for 138 yards and was sacked 12 times (six
by Osi Umenyiora). You would think that after the 2nd or 3rd sack by
Umenyiora that the Eagles would have adjusted their blocking scheme.
Kevin Curtis who was on the bench in most leagues two weeks ago when he
had his monster 200 yard performance only caught 2 passes for 21 yards.
Reggie Brown was another no show and at this point should stay on your
bench or should be cut. What we are learning about the Eagles is
that they are not a good offensive team without Westbrook and they need
a big play receiver in the worst way.

Smokin' Joe -
Matt Leinart
The RBBC has been troubling fantasy
players for years. The Cardinal’s have taken position-sharing up a
notch. They are now rotating quarterbacks.
Leinart played most of the 1st and 4th
quarters while Kurt Warner posted the better numbers playing the middle
two. Woo-hoo QBBC.
Leinart had the starting job but his below
average play has caused this situation and his admittance to our Hall of
Shame.

CrunchTime -
Donovan Mcnabb
Expectations were high coming into this
week. McNabb and the high-flying Eagles were supposed to build off
of their week 3 momentum and destroy the Giants' 28th ranked passing
defense.
The Giants had been allowing nearly 265
yards and 2 touchdowns to opponents' passing attacks every week.
All of that apparently meant nothing. McNabb was under constant
pressure and seemed unable to make a play. With a completion
percentage under 50 he was only able to muster 138 passing yards and
only 4 on the ground.
When either quarterback in the Houston /
Atlanta match up is a better option, then you know there's an issue.
Even David Carr's sorry outing was preferable to that of the mighty
McNabb. If that's not Hall of Shame material then I don't know
what is.

The Sandman -
St. Louis Rams Offense
Four weeks into the fantasy season and a
couple of things have become really apparent.
(1) Tony Romo was no fluke last year and
(2) if you drafted any Rams offensive
player you’re looking towards next years draft.
A team that once had the nickname
“greatest show on turf” has scored exactly no offensive touchdowns. This
means that Marc Bulger, Steven Jackson and Torry Holt are out of the top
20 in fantasy scoring at their respective position.
These three were taken in the top five for
their position but they are producing like my sister.
